Hey, I’m Cody the Founder of Marketsy.

I start selling on Etsy in 2012 and after I finally made some sales and figured out how to do digital marketing I tried to get my emails our of Etsy, but there was no easy way.

It was 2015, and for the life of me I couldn’t understand how emails were the only thing that Etsy didn’t allow you to download in a CSV.

So I figured out a hacky solution, wrote this blog post about it, and a ton of people started using my solution. It was a huge problem I was solving, and it felt awesome to help other Etsy sellers collect their customer data.

Fast forward to 2017 and I got asked if there was a way to speed up this process, so I had a friend build a little app in the form of a chrome extension and I started selling it.

I named it Etsy Email Downloader — original I know — and it was terrible. It crashed all the time and randomly wouldn’t work, but it helped hundreds of people get thousands of emails out of their Etsy shops which I was stoked to be apart of.

Now it’s 2021 and in February Google Payments deprecated (meaning that Google stoped the program RIP). I ran Etsy Email Downloader payments through Google Payments, so I had to remake the app.

But this time I was going to make a real product that helped Etsy sellers not only get their emails out, but as much customer data as possible. Think emails, names, products ordered, the price they paid, their addresses — we’re working on all of it.

Marketsy is this next version of Etsy Email Downloader and Marketsy exists to help you collect, store and transfer your Etsy customer data.

We’re building tools to help you:

• Get your customer data out faster
• Understand who your best customers are
• What they buy, and how frequently they buy from you
• Transfer that data wherever you want to. Think Shopify, Convert Kit or Mailchimp
• Grow you mailing list with tools like landing page builders for discount codes

Right now, Marketsy just helps you download your emails. But in the next couple months we’ll have new features for you.
